ARTIST STATEMENT

“The mood is what I aim at. There is a conversation between the object, and the brush strokes I put down. Nature provides the great inspiration with soul, mood, and beauty.”

ARTIST BIO

Peggy Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in English literature. She began to develop a passion for painting during the past twenty years when she started to learn from master artists Jove Wang and Kevin Macpherson.
She has since continuously practiced arts in plein air painting, figure and portrait paints. Her style is representational with influence by both Classic and Russian impressionistic works; and adaption of modern art concepts.
She started to show her works in 2009, since then, has shown in major national shows such as American Impressionist Society. She is represented by two galleries in USA.
